Let us know if you have questions or need assistance with rethinking your plans for the beginning of the Spring term. This topic is mainly for those who were planning to have an in-person instruction component to their course, but all questions are welcome.
I am teaching two in-person courses this semester, one of which is a CURE course where we will be making visits to our client. I’d like to ensure that everyone who will be making the trip to the client has had a recent negative Covid-19 test. Am I allowed to require that students submit proof of their negative test or does this violate privacy laws?
As there are specific privacy/FERPA concerns and also health and safety issues here I think this issue/question would be best answered by University Counsel and recommend reaching out to Anne Fox Phone: (919) 962-6270 / Email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
