Are there rooms available on main campus for students to Zoom to class? Some students live on South campus, have in-person class in one building on campus (or at the Friday Center) then a remote-only class, then another in-person class (Three days a week). Even with 30 minutes between classes, these students do not have time to get back to their dorms to Zoom with their remote-only class and then back to their in-person class on the main quad. The library has study rooms but has told students that they cannot use them to Zoom to their remote-only class.

Are there dedicated spaces or rooms on campus that students can reserve to take their remote-only/Zoom classes?

I’ve raised this question/concern to the lead of of the group that was managing classroom strategies for Fall and will share what we learn as soon as we can.

Thanks, Todd. My department (ROMS) will work with students too and will have rooms available to reserve for class.

Wonderful! That sounds like a great solution for ROMS and a good model for other departments. In addition, we will be making campus spaces available soon. We need to finalize course room assignments, which will hopefully happen by end of day tomorrow. That will enable spaces to be made available for students to access and use as study or remote class access spaces. Available rooms will be identified on the campus map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1qqwlyVsjHZNWeUx1N-zXrqL_9n6CDP8G&ll=35.90706085986739%2C-79.0486054&z=16
