I would love to see as many people as possible on screen when I do my remote class this fall.
I see that if I have a fancy enough computer, I can see up to 49 at once on zoom.
Sadly, I do not have a computer with a large enough processor to accomodate that. Teams will launch a similar feature as well, but not sure what the minimum specs will be or when it will launch.
Do you know if there are any programs that show more on screen at once? Or any other tricks?
We do plan to do break out groups, etc – but at least for some of it, I would want to have folks together and I would love to make “eye contact” with as many as possible to be an effective teacher
I wish that video technology would support display of more students on screen, but it requires more computing processing power, regardless of the conferencing program used. MS Teams doesn’t support as many on-screen camera shares as does Zoom, which, even at 25, is more than other web conferencing systems available.
Hoping someone else has a great hack of which I am unaware.
